About me

I am a PhD in Biotechnology with postdoctoral experience in molecular biology, functional genomics, CRISPR-Cas9 editing, and transcriptome analysis. My work integrates experimental and computational approaches to mine genomes and study gene function and stress responses. I mentor students in research design, data analysis, and scientific writing, helping them develop rigorous, publication-ready research, with a strong focus on critical thinking and reproducibility.

Interests: My research lies at the intersection of functional genomics, molecular biology, and computational biology, with a focus on understanding how genes and regulatory networks control biological processes under different conditions. I am particularly interested in linking genotype to phenotype by integrating experimental approaches with data-driven analysis. I have experience in designing and executing experiments to investigate gene function, including genome editing, gene expression analysis, and molecular characterization. In parallel, I use bioinformatics and statistical approaches for sequence analysis, transcriptomics, phylogenetics, and network-based studies to extract meaningful biological insights from large datasets. More broadly, my work emphasizes an integrative research framework—combining wet-lab and computational methods—to study complex biological systems, improve reproducibility, and generate insights that can be applied across areas such as biotechnology, health, and translational research.
