About me

I am an experimental physicist with a PhD in Physics from Pondicherry Central University, specializing in condensed matter physics and materials science. My expertise includes functional materials, semiconductor physics, defect engineering, ion irradiation, and advanced characterization techniques. I am passionate about teaching and mentoring, and I strive to inspire students through concept-based learning, research exposure, critical thinking, and hands-on scientific training.

Interests: My research interests lie in experimental condensed matter physics and materials science, with a particular focus on functional materials, semiconductor physics, defect engineering, and radiation effects in materials. My work primarily focuses on understanding the relationship between structure, defects, and the optical, electrical, and magnetic properties of materials. I am particularly interested in transition metal doped oxides, ion irradiation induced modifications, magnetic semiconductors, thin films and heterostructures, nanomaterials, and materials for energy and electronic applications. My long term research goal is to develop advanced functional materials for spintronic, optoelectronic, and sustainable energy technologies.
