About me

I am a biotechnologist with 22 years of experience in research and academics in the field of microbial biochemistry and biotechnology. I have closely interacted with and mentored graduate and post-graduate students for over 15 years. I have taught theory and practical courses in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetic engineering, to post-graduate students. I have supervised numerous student research projects and one project with extra-mural funding during this period in academics.

Interests: Microbial biochemistry, biochemical and biophysical characterization of extracellular enzymes from actinomycetes, and fungi, small molecules and quorum sensing mechanisms in plant pathogenic bacteria, microbial biosynthesis of nanoparticles and their applications.
