About me

I have qualified the National Entrance Test (NET) conducted by the UGC and CSIR making me eligible for lectureship in Indian Universities and colleges. I have gained research experience working in the areas of biochemistry and structural biology. Among the challenging projects I worked on include crystallization of the Escherichia coli membrane proteins Etk and Wzc. I have also worked as a medical and scientific writer and editor (portfolio at https://medicalnewsbulletin.com/?s=Usha+B+Nair).

Interests: My research interests include de novo protein and drug design. In pursuit of these interests, I was able to delineate the protein sequence and structure constraints necessary for assembling the alpha/alpha barrel proteins--an essential first step in designing these proteins.
