About me

I hold a PhD in Zoology with expertise in entomology, chemical ecology, and interdisciplinary biological research. My experience includes field and laboratory studies, experimental design, data analysis, scientific writing, and international collaborations. I aim to foster critical thinking and scientific curiosity while mentoring students in research methodology, data interpretation, manuscript and grant writing, and effective scientific communication for academic and professional success.

Interests: My research lies at the intersection of zoology, entomology, and chemical ecology, with a strong emphasis on understanding insect biology through integrative and interdisciplinary approaches. I am particularly interested in the ecological and physiological mechanisms underlying insect interactions and how these can be applied to address both fundamental and applied biological questions. Over the course of my academic training, I have gained extensive experience in designing and conducting field- and laboratory-based studies involving insect ecology, behaviour, and chemical analyses. My work has involved experimental design, specimen collection and identification, data generation and interpretation, and the application of statistical and computational approaches to analyse complex biological datasets. I have experience working with multivariate statistics and machine learning techniques to extract meaningful biological patterns and support evidence-based conclusions. In addition to my research expertise, I have developed strong skills in scientific communication, including manuscript preparation, peer review, grant and fellowship writing, and the dissemination of research findings to diverse audiences. I have contributed to multiple publications in international journals and have experience collaborating within multidisciplinary and international research teams. My broader research interests encompass insect chemical ecology, ecological interactions, applied entomology, and emerging analytical approaches that integrate experimental biology with data-driven methods.
