About me
Interdisciplinary biomedical researcher and educator with 15+ years’ experience in cell and molecular biology, cancer biology, and translational science. Strong teaching experience mentoring Master’s students and Junior Research Fellows in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing. I emphasize conceptual clarity, critical thinking, and rigorous methodology, while helping students build independence and connect fundamental science with real-world applications.
Interests: With over 15 years of research experience in biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology, my work focuses on understanding cytoskeletal dynamics and their roles in cellular function, disease, and regeneration. During my doctoral research, I characterized Fidgetin as a microtubule-severing enzyme involved in mitosis and cell migration, providing novel insights into microtubule regulation. My postdoctoral studies further explored cytoskeletal control of immune cell migration, highlighting the role of HS1 phosphorylation and mechanobiological cues. In my independent research, I have investigated the interplay between actin and microtubule networks in epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) in cancer. My current and future research aims to identify key regulators of cytoskeletal remodeling in metastasis and tissue regeneration, with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies through an integrative and translational approach.
