Interests: I hold a PhD in Chemistry and am currently a postdoctoral researcher in Bayreuth, Germany, with previous postdoctoral experience in Belgium. My research background is rooted in synthetic organic chemistry and catalysis, with extensive expertise in photocatalysis, radical-mediated transformations, selective bond functionalization, and methodology development. Throughout my doctoral and postdoctoral research, I have focused on developing innovative photochemical and catalytic transformations using visible-light activation and reactive intermediates. My work has resulted in publications in leading journals including Science (co-author), Nature Communications, Angewandte Chemie, Advanced Materials, Organic Letters, Chemical Communications, and Chemical Science. My research experience has provided me with extensive expertise in photoredox catalysis, photoinduced electron-transfer processes, radical generation and control, reaction optimization, and mechanistic investigations. I am particularly interested in understanding how excited-state processes can be harnessed to control molecular reactivity and enable selective chemical transformations. These interests align closely with your group's efforts to utilize photochemical principles in functional molecular systems. Beyond technical expertise, I bring experience in independent project development, mentoring students, scientific writing, and international collaboration.
