About me

I provide strong research training in molecular biology, cell culture, animal handling, and advanced assays. Students gain expertise in nanoparticle synthesis, nano-drug delivery, and nanozyme research. I offer guidance in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing. I also mentor students in publications, higher studies, fellowships, and interdisciplinary research integrating nanotechnology and biotechnology.

Interests: My research interests lie at the interface of nanobiotechnology, molecular biology, and translational biomedical sciences, with a central focus on designing functional nanomaterials for applications in nutrition, disease diagnosis, and targeted therapy. Over the course of my doctoral training in Animal Nanobiotechnology, I have developed a strong interest in engineering nanoparticle-based systems that can selectively interact with biological environments to enhance therapeutic efficacy while minimizing off-target effects. A major component of my research focuses on the synthesis and functionalization of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles, nanoalloys, liposomes, and polymeric nanocarriers for biomedical and nutritional applications. I am particularly interested in developing redox-active nanozymes and antioxidant nanostructures that mimic biological enzyme systems to combat oxidative stress, a key contributor to aging, cancer progression, and metabolic disorders. My work has explored gold, cerium oxide, iron oxide, selenium, manganese oxide, and other nanomaterials, with emphasis on tailoring their surface chemistry to improve biocompatibility, catalytic efficiency, and cellular uptake. Another key research interest of mine is targeted drug and gene delivery using nanovehicles. I am deeply interested in designing smart delivery platforms such as pH-responsive microcapsules, nanoliposomes, and ligand-decorated nanoparticles that enable selective release of therapeutic agents in specific tissues, particularly in the small intestine and tumor microenvironments. My work on co-delivery systems involving plasmids, siRNA, and small molecule drugs reflects my broader goal of integrating nanotechnology with gene regulation strategies to enhance anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic responses in cancer cells. In addition to therapeutic applications, I am highly interested in nano-enabled diagnostics and biosensing. My research has involved developing nanoparticle-based optical and chemiluminescent probes for selective detection of cancer cells and biomolecules. I am particularly motivated by the potential of functionalized nanoclusters and nanoalloys to serve as rapid, sensitive, and cost-effective diagnostic tools for early disease detection. Nutritional nanotechnology represents another important dimension of my research interests. I am intrigued by the possibility of improving mineral bioavailability and gut-specific delivery using nanoformulations and pH-sensitive encapsulation systems. My work on nanominerals and microcapsule-based delivery systems aims to address challenges related to nutrient absorption, stability, and targeted intestinal release, with applications in both animal and human health. Methodologically, I am interested in combining in vitro cellular models, primary cell systems, and in vivo animal studies to bridge the gap between bench research and clinical translation. I am particularly motivated to explore how nanoparticle physicochemical properties influence cellular signaling pathways, oxidative stress modulation, apoptosis, and immune responses. Moving forward, I aim to expand my research toward precision nanomedicine, integrating advanced biomaterials design with molecular targeting strategies. My long-term goal is to establish an independent research program that develops safe, efficient, and clinically translatable nanobiotechnology platforms for disease treatment, health monitoring, and nutritional enhancement.
