About me
Passionate and adaptable M.Tech Biotechnology postgraduate from IIT Guwahati, with hands-on research & industry experience as a research associate, contributing to applied biotechnology & industrial projects. I can mentor students in maintaining lab documentation, structuring manuscripts, and preparation strategies for competitive exams. Introducing ASTM & ISO standards gives their academic work a professional, industry-ready edge, dedicated to leading and cultivating forward-thinking solutions.
Interests: Environmental & Industrial Applied Microbiology: Evaluating the antimicrobial and biofilm-resistance properties of building materials to enhance durability and prevent microbial degradation; investigating microbial techniques for metal recovery and purification, such as removing impurities or heavy metals from sand and assessing cross-contamination dynamics in everyday environments, focusing on microbial transfer vectors and sanitation practices. Fungal Biotechnology & Endophyte Profiling: Isolation and characterization of endophytic fungal strains from diverse plant genotypes; Secondary Metabolite Screening: Investigating, profiling, and assessing the bioactivity; fungal phenotyping assays. Bio-Analytical Techniques & Instrumentation: Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry: Utilizing LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and HPLC for precise metabolite profiling, purity quantification, and compound identification; Spectroscopy & Assays: Employing FTIR and UV-Vis spectroscopy alongside functional biochemical colorimetric assays—such as the Chrome Azurol S (CAS) assay for iron-chelation and siderophore profiling. Computational Biology & Microfluidics: In Silico Screening: Applying bioinformatics tools for sequence alignment, genomic mapping, pharmacophore modeling, and molecular docking for drug discovery; Lab-on-a-Chip Design: Simulating and analyzing microfluidic channels using software like COMSOL Multiphysics to optimize therapeutic drug monitoring systems, along with electrochemical sensing using Screen-Printed Electrodes (SPEs) for drug monitoring using cyclic voltammetry.
