About me
Dr. Sheeba Khalid is a sociologist and postdoctoral researcher with over 16 years of academic experience, specializing in applied sociology, medical sociology, gender studies, and psychosocial research. She holds a Ph.D. from Jadavpur University and focuses on ageing, population health, and socio-legal issues. Her work integrates quantitative and qualitative methods to produce interdisciplinary, data-driven, and policy-relevant research with global impact.
Interests: My research interests lie in applied sociology, medical sociology, and psychosocial studies, with a focus on ageing, population health, and gender dynamics. I am particularly interested in the socio-legal dimensions of elderly care and the impact of post-COVID transformations on vulnerable populations. My work also explores interdisciplinary and data-driven approaches to address health inequalities in low- and middle-income contexts.
