About me
I hold a Ph.D. in Chemical & Biological Engineering and serve as CEO of Genieomics Inc. Specializing in bioinformatics, transcriptomics, and aging, I built GenoFlow for complex omics analysis. I bring deep expertise in Python, Nextflow, and RNA-seq. I offer students end-to-end mentorship in computational biology workflows - from raw data processing to machine learning and statistical modeling - helping them produce rigorous, reproducible research ready for high-impact publication.
Interests: Core Biological Research Aging & Cellular Senescence: Investigating the underlying mechanisms of cellular aging, focusing on the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) and strategies to mitigate age-related decline. Partial Reprogramming: Exploring cellular rejuvenation strategies, specifically utilizing cyclic NANOG overexpression and other transcription factors to reverse hallmarks of aging without losing cellular identity. Tissue Regeneration & Mitochondrial Health: Researching skeletal muscle regeneration (myogenesis) and the critical role of mitochondrial quality control, including mitophagy, in restoring cellular function. Computational Biology & Omics Analysis Transcriptomics & Multi-Omics: Analyzing complex RNA-seq and transcriptomic datasets to identify novel therapeutic targets and understand system-wide biological responses to aging and rejuvenation therapies. Bioinformatics Pipeline Development: Building and optimizing computational workflows using Python, Nextflow, Salmon, and STAR alignment to process large-scale genomic data efficiently and reproducibly. Systems Biology & Predictive Modeling: Leveraging GenoFlow - a proprietary computational platform you developed - to integrate multi-omics data, apply statistical modeling, and extract actionable biological insights.
