About me
PhD researcher trained in translational infectious disease research, spanning human cohorts and experimental animal models. Lead or contributor of multiple multidisciplinary research projects developed in collaborative environments across Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and the United States. Experience in manuscript preparation, grant writing, and national and international conference presentations. Awarded Best Doctoral Thesis in Tuberculosis Research of 2024.
Interests: My research interests focus on understanding how immune responses shape susceptibility, protection, and pathology during infectious diseases. I am particularly interested in host-pathogen interactions, the identification of immune biomarkers associated with disease progression and treatment outcomes, and the integration of human and animal studies to address translational questions. I have a strong interest in high-dimensional immune profiling, systems immunology approaches, and the development of experimental and analytical tools that improve our understanding of immune mechanisms and support the development of diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines.
