About me
I am a neuroscientist with a PhD from IISER Tirupati, specializing in neurodegeneration and metabolic stress in retinal neurons. My work focuses on Caspr1 and neurite dynamics under hyperglycemia. I have DAAD-funded research experience at Heidelberg University and expertise in imaging, CRISPR, and molecular techniques, as well as proficiency in bioinformatics and data analysis platforms. I teach biotechnology and mentor students in research, data analysis, and scientific communication.
Interests: My research interests focus on understanding how metabolic stress influences neuronal function and survival, particularly in retinal systems. I aim to explore intracellular trafficking, axonal transport, and adhesion molecule signaling in neurodegeneration. I am interested in combining molecular biology, imaging, and in vivo models to study early mechanisms of neuronal dysfunction.
