About me
Research-oriented life sciences professional with extensive experience in mentoring postgraduate researchers, designing robust experimental workflows, interpreting complex biological data, and supporting manuscript publication. Combines strong wet-lab expertise with computational analysis and publication ethics knowledge to improve research quality, reproducibility, and scientific communication.
Interests: My research interests lie at the intersection of molecular virology, plant sciences, and interdisciplinary life sciences research, with a strong focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms of host–pathogen interactions, viral evolution, and disease epidemiology. My doctoral work has primarily centered on plant virus biology, molecular diversity analysis, genome sequencing, and infectious clone development, particularly involving papaya ringspot virus, where I contributed to the development of the first infectious full-length cDNA clone reported in India. I am deeply interested in integrating experimental molecular biology approaches with computational and bioinformatic analyses to address complex biological questions related to pathogen diversity, gene regulation, and stress responses. In addition, I have a growing interest in research methodology, reproducibility, scientific communication, and publication ethics, particularly in mentoring early-career researchers to design rigorous, publication-ready studies. My broader scientific interest extends to translational and interdisciplinary life sciences research that combines wet-lab experimentation, quantitative analysis, and data-driven biological insights to advance both fundamental and applied research outcomes.
