About me
am a PhD researcher at MNCN-CSIC (Spain) and LIB (Germany), with degrees from Lomonosov Moscow State University and the University of Bonn. I specialize in evolutionary biology, phylogenomics, bioinformatics, and machine learning. I provide consulting on phylogenetic analyses, genome assembly and annotation, scientific writing, pre-submission manuscript review, Python programming, and computational data analysis.
Interests: My research focuses on developing machine learning methods for phylogenomic-scale analysis, with a particular emphasis on phylogenetic tree reconstruction. Phylogenetic inference is essential for many evolutionary analyses and beyond. While current methods are very precise, they become extremely computationally demanding with large genomic data sets. To address this challenge, I work on designing novel machine learning approaches that balance accuracy and computational efficiency. I am also focused on clarifying the genomic basis of replicated water-to-land transitions in blenny fish.
