About me
I recently completed my Ph.D. through the RMIT–AcSIR joint program, focusing on EPA-rich Nannochloropsis oceanica and its therapeutic effects on liver fibrosis. My work involved microalgal cultivation, in vivo studies and gut microbiome analysis. I have experience in GC-MS, HPLC, SEM/TEM, and molecular techniques, along with training in animal experimentation and mentoring students.
Interests: Nutraceuticals and therapeutic potential of microalgae; omega-3 fatty acids in inflammation and metabolic disorders; liver fibrosis and metabolic disease models; host–gut microbiome interactions; bioactive compounds and functional foods; molecular approaches to understand disease mechanisms; development of sustainable microalgal-based interventions.
