About me
Experienced pharmacologist with a background in drug discovery and neuroimmunology, focusing on migraine and neuropathic pain. Contributed to in-vivo receptor occupancy studies and biomarker research in industry. Current work explores immune mechanisms in migraine and a novel nicotine cessation approach using ascorbic acid, now in Phase 2 evaluation, with a focus on translational and clinically relevant outcomes.
Interests: My research interests focus on understanding disease mechanisms and translating these insights into practical therapeutic approaches: 1. Neuroimmune mechanisms in migraine, including the role of regulatory T-cells and immune mediators 2. Chronic pain biology, particularly migraine and diabetic neuropathic pain 3. Identification and validation of biomarkers (e.g., FOXP3, BAFF, APRIL) for disease progression 4. Translational pharmacology bridging preclinical findings with clinical application 5. Drug discovery approaches, including in-vivo receptor occupancy studies 6. Nicotine dependence, detoxification strategies, and novel cessation interventions using ascorbic acid 7. Development of innovative drug delivery systems such as fast-dispersing thin films 8. Neuropharmacology and experimental models for neurological disorders These interests aim to connect mechanistic research with clinically meaningful and accessible healthcare solutions.
