About me
Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur with expertise in inorganic and materials chemistry. Experienced in research, publications, and advanced characterization techniques. Passionate about research and teaching, with proven mentoring experience. As an e-supervisor, I provide personalized research guidance, journal writing, data analysis, and interpretation, delivering clear, accurate, and meaningful research insights grounded in a strong analytical understanding.
Interests: My research interests focus on the design, synthesis, and characterization of functional inorganic molecular materials, particularly transition metal– and lanthanide-based systems exhibiting switchable electronic, magnetic, and photophysical properties. I am interested in developing stimuli-responsive materials capable of controllable spin-state switching under external stimuli such as temperature, light, and magnetic fields. My work emphasizes understanding structure–property relationships by correlating molecular and crystallographic structures with magnetic, optical, and electronic behaviors. I employ advanced synthetic approaches and characterization techniques, including single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, magnetic measurements, optical spectroscopy, and electron microscopy, to investigate these materials. My overall goal is to develop tunable functional materials focusing on systems such as spin-crossover complexes, photo or thermochromic MOFs, and single-molecule magnets, with potential applications in spintronics, sensors, memory devices, and photonic technologies.
