About me
After completing my Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Delhi and Master's degree from the University of Hyderabad, I joined the BSL-3 Laboratory at Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2016 for my PhD under Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar. In 2023, I started my postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. These experiences have strengthened my research skills, interdisciplinary outlook, and readiness for an independent academic career.
Interests: Growing evidence indicates that Mycobacterium tuberculosis rewires host epigenomes to ensure long-term persistence. We recently demonstrated that virulent and avirulent M. tuberculosis strains exhibit distinct genome organization. My research aims to uncover how these organizational differences infl uence the capacity to modulate host epigenetic landscapes.
