About me

Experienced Professor & Head of Zoology with a Ph.D. in Genetic Toxicology and over 16 years of teaching and research across India and Ethiopia. Skilled in genetic toxicology, neurotoxicology, cytogenetics, physiology, and ecology. I offer students rigorous academic training, mentorship in research, and global exposure, preparing them for advanced study, academia, and professional careers in life sciences.

Interests: My research centers on Genetic Toxicology and Neurobehavioral Sciences, with a strong emphasis on understanding the genetic and biochemical mechanisms underlying toxicity and their impact on animal physiology and behavior. I focus on genetics, cytogenetics, neurotoxicology, ecology, and biodiversity, integrating laboratory and field approaches to explore environmental influences on organisms. This work contributes to advancing knowledge in animal biology, genetic risk assessment, and ecological sustainability, while offering students exposure to cutting‑edge research methods and interdisciplinary perspectives.
