I offer comprehensive mentorship for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students in synthetic organic chemistry and process development, supporting the complete journey of research from idea to execution and publication. This includes guidance in designing innovative research projects and PhD proposals, identifying research gaps, and developing practical and novel synthetic methodologies for theses and grant applications. I provide detailed support in solving advanced organic chemistry problems with clear mechanistic explanations, as well as training in unknown structure identification using spectroscopic techniques such as NMR, IR, and mass spectrometry. Students are guided in retrosynthetic analysis, synthetic route design, and reaction optimization, enabling them to improve yields, selectivity, and efficiency while developing strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.In addition, I help bridge academic knowledge with industry practices through mentorship in process development and scale-up chemistry, including translating lab-scale reactions into robust, cost-effective, and scalable processes with consideration for safety and industrial relevance. I provide expertise in impurity identification and control strategies, helping students understand impurity formation pathways and purification techniques aligned with pharmaceutical standards. My service also includes end-to-end support in scientific writing, thesis preparation, and publication, including manuscript structuring, data interpretation, and journal submission. Overall, I assist students in solving both academic and real-world industrial chemistry challenges, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and practical insight needed for successful careers in research, academia, and the pharmaceutical industry.
