About me
Multidisciplinary ocean acoustics researcher with expertise in Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM), underwater noise analysis, and marine ecosystem assessment. Experienced in Arctic and Indian Ocean studies on anthropogenic and climate-driven impacts. With academic training in Physics, Remote Sensing, GIS, and Environmental Science, capable of teaching and guiding across diverse subjects while supporting data-driven research and net-zero climate goals.
Interests: My research focuses on ocean acoustics and Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) to understand underwater soundscapes and their ecological implications. I am particularly interested in anthropogenic noise characterization, including ship noise analysis and its impact on marine mammals and fish behavior. My work extends to climate-driven ocean changes, such as Arctic ice melt and its influence on acoustic environments. I also work on marine bioacoustics, studying vocalization patterns of marine species for biodiversity assessment and conservation. My interests include acoustic signal processing, time-series analysis, and statistical modeling for long-term environmental monitoring. Additionally, I focus on integrating acoustic observations with geospatial tools (GIS and remote sensing) for spatial mapping of noise and ecosystem dynamics.
