About me
I hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University, with expertise in genetics, epigenetics, genomics, and bioinformatics. My research experience includes next-generation sequencing, molecular diagnostics, and computational analysis using Python and R. As an educator, I combine scientific rigor with a student-centered approach, helping learners develop critical thinking, scientific literacy, and practical skills that prepare them for careers in science, healthcare, and research.
Interests: My research interests focus on genetics, epigenetics, and genome regulation, particularly the molecular mechanisms that control gene expression and chromatin organization. I am interested in applying genomic and bioinformatic approaches to understand how changes in chromatin structure influence cellular function, development, and disease. I also have a strong interest in integrating computational methods with experimental biology to analyze and interpret complex genomic datasets.
