About me

I am a CS researcher at the American University of Beirut, where I completed my MSc in Arabic NLP. My thesis on Arabic Grammatical Error Correction achieved state-of-the-art results using synthetic data generation, knowledge distillation, and two-stage training. I’ve worked as an AI Engineer and NLP Research Assistant at AUB, with internships at Aralects and WaveMark. I ranked 2nd in the BEA shared task (ACL 2025) and co-authored a diacritized Arabic corpus (OSACT7, 2026).
