About me

I bring a strong academic and research background in biotechnology, with a Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee, where my research focused on studies on lipid-agglomerating yeast. Following my doctoral work, I was awarded the prestigious DST–National Postdoctoral Fellowship (DST-NPDF) at ICGEB, New Delhi, where I conducted advanced research in molecular biology with a focus on CRISPR/Cas9-based genome editing. My research experience also spans immunodiagnostics and ELISA development.

Interests: In addition to research, I am deeply committed to teaching and mentoring students. I aim to deliver concept-driven and application-oriented instruction in subjects such as molecular biology, Metabolomics, immunology and biotechnology, while fostering critical thinking and hands-on laboratory skills. I am particularly enthusiastic about guiding students in research projects and promoting innovation-driven learning. My technical expertise includes CRISPR/Cas9 techniques, Yeast genetic engineering, bioanalytical methods, ELISA assay development and optimization, cell culture and molecular cloning. I am keen to further expand my research in areas intersecting diagnostics, vaccine development, and sustainable biotechnology.
