About me
An accomplished Assistant Professor of Biochemistry with over six years of experience in medical education, clinical laboratory operations, and biomedical research, responsible for delivering lectures and practical training to MBBS and allied health science students while developing curriculum and assessment strategies. The role includes supervising clinical biochemistry laboratory services, ensuring EQAS compliance, validating diagnostic reports, and maintaining laboratory instruments.
Interests: My research interests lie in the field of Clinical Biochemistry and Translational Medical Research, with a focus on the identification and evaluation of novel biomarkers for early disease diagnosis and prognosis. I am particularly interested in cardiac biomarkers such as ischemia-modified albumin and heart-type fatty acid-binding protein for early detection of acute coronary syndrome. My work also extends to oxidative stress and antioxidant status in infectious diseases like malaria, as well as metabolic disorders including diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Additionally, I have a keen interest in endocrine and reproductive biochemistry, including thyroid function and pregnancy-related biomarkers. My research further encompasses tumor markers, bone metabolism, and inborn errors of metabolism, along with an integrative approach towards lifestyle interventions such as yoga and their biochemical impact on health outcomes. I am also actively engaged in clinical research design, and evidence-based medicine, aiming to bridge laboratory findings with clinical applications
