About me
PhD in Physics with research expertise in advanced functional materials, thin films, and nanomaterials for electronic and energy applications. Experienced in teaching and mentoring students, with strong skills in material synthesis and characterization techniques. I aim to deliver concept-driven learning, practical exposure, and inspire students towards research and innovation.
Interests: My research interests lie in condensed matter physics and functional materials, with a focus on the synthesis and optimization of yttrium iron garnet (YIG) ceramics and nanostructures. My Ph.D. work explored the effect of bismuth and rare-earth doping on their structural, optical, dielectric, and magnetic properties. I have experience in material synthesis techniques such as sol–gel and hydrothermal methods, as well as thin-film deposition using sputtering. My work involves advanced characterization using XRD, SEM, VSM, UV–Vis, FTIR, and XPS to understand structure–property relationships. Additionally, I have worked on thin-film materials for perovskite solar cell applications, focusing on interface engineering. My broader research goal is to develop multifunctional materials for applications in spintronics, sensors, and energy devices, while fostering research-driven learning among students.
