About me

I am an Associate Professor and Head of Biochemistry at a dental institution affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, India. My expertise is in medical and dental biochemistry, focusing on molecular disease mechanisms and clinical teaching. My research centers on therapeutic biochemistry, especially plant-based bioactives in oral health, including Garcinia gummi-gutta and its role in dental caries prevention.

Interests: My research focuses on medical and dental biochemistry, emphasizing molecular mechanisms of disease and their clinical applications. I am particularly interested in therapeutic biochemistry and the role of plant-based bioactives in oral health. My current work investigates the inhibitory effects of Garcinia gummi-gutta on alpha-amylase in the prevention of dental caries, integrating traditional knowledge with modern biochemical approaches.
