About me

Hi, I am Dr Suhana Datta. I have a Master's and a PhD in Life Science from the University of Calcutta, along with a B.Ed. in Life Science from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata. I have 12 years of experience in research and teaching in the field of Biology and applied Biology at different schools and colleges, and also on online platform. Iqualified for the CSIR-NET and GATE exams. interested in working in the teaching and research field

Interests: I completed my PhD research on _“Therapeutic evaluation of antioxidant, antimicrobial and anticancer activity of natural extracts like curcumin and edible mushroom. Also, role of piper beetle extract on prevention of Rheumatoid arthritis.”_ During my research, I gained hands-on experience in bioactivity screening, phytochemical analysis, and evaluation of natural products for disease prevention. My work focused on developing affordable, accessible therapeutic strategies using natural resources to address major health challenges such as cancer, infection, oxidative stress and inflammatory diseases. science-based solutions for societal wellbeing, including nutraceutical development, analysis of natural resources for food and nutritional security, and application of statistical and experimental tools for health impact assessment. I am motivated to apply my scientific training to support interdisciplinary research that bridges laboratory findings with tangible benefits for society
