About me

Ph.D. in Biotechnology with experience across academia, translational research, and biopharma. Currently a Senior Scientist in regenerative medicine, leading cell-based and molecular research projects. Expertise in cloning, qPCR, blotting, cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, and in vivo models under GMP/GLP settings. Published researcher (IF >38, h-index 7). Mentor students in research design, lab techniques, and scientific writing.

Interests: My research interests lie at the interface of molecular biology, infectious diseases, and translational regenerative medicine, with a strong focus on developing innovative therapeutic strategies to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and inflammatory disorders. The rapid emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) pathogens, particularly methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), poses a serious global health challenge. My long-term objective is to identify and develop alternative therapeutic approaches that can either restore antibiotic susceptibility or function as effective standalone treatments. A central theme of my research is drug repurposing and efflux pump inhibition as a strategy to combat bacterial resistance. I am particularly interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating bacterial efflux systems and virulence factors, and how small molecules can modulate these pathways. By integrating molecular assays, gene expression analysis, and in vivo infection models, I aim to identify compounds that attenuate pathogenicity while minimizing selective pressure for resistance development. Another major area of interest is small RNA biology and its role in disease pathogenesis. Non-coding RNAs, including piRNAs and miRNAs, represent powerful regulatory molecules that influence gene expression networks in inflammatory and proliferative disorders. I am interested in exploring how dysregulated small RNAs contribute to diseases such as psoriasis and how targeted modulation of these pathways could open new avenues for therapeutic intervention. In addition, I am deeply engaged in nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems to enhance the bioavailability and therapeutic index of bioactive compounds. My work involves nano-encapsulation strategies, liposomal formulations, and characterization techniques to improve stability, controlled release, and targeted delivery. I am particularly motivated to develop delivery platforms that can bridge the gap between promising in vitro findings and successful in vivo applications.
