About me

Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Dept. of Chemistry, IIT Indore. His research focuses on multifunctional hybrid transition metal catalysts and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for advanced Energy Systems. He previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Mahidol University, Thailand. Dr. Ahmed has published 50+ research articles (including 35+ in ACS and RSC journals) with 1233 citations, h-index 23, and i10-index 39.

Interests: My research focuses on multifunctional hybrid transition metal catalysts and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for advanced electrochemical water splitting and seawater splitting, including hydrogen evolution (HER), oxygen evolution (OER), and chlorine oxidation reactions (ClOR). I am also familiar with heterogeneous catalysis and biomass conversion. Dr. Ahmed has published 50+ research articles (including 35+ in ACS and RSC journals) with 1233 citations, h-index 23, and i10-index 39. His expertise includes electrochemistry, inorganic/material chemistry, Organic Materials Like (COFs), energy-related catalysis, supercapacitors, and photocatalysis, with a strong interest in hydrogen generation, energy storage systems, and sustainable energy technologies. He is motivated to establish an independent research program and secure competitive funding from agencies such as DST, SERB, CSIR, and UGC while contributing actively to academic teaching, mentoring, and interdisciplinary research collaborations.
