About me
I am currently a DST Young Scientist at IIT Guwahati and Principal Investigator of a DST-funded project on bioremediation of oil industry wastewater. My expertise includes environmental biotechnology, microbial bioremediation and bioresource utilization. I hold a PhD from IIT Guwahati and postoctoral experience as National Postdctoral Fellow. I have 3 granted patents, 14 publications. I can offer students guidance in research methodology, experimental design and scientific writing.
Interests: My area of interest focuses on environmental biotechnology and sustainable bioremediation technologies. My research primarily involves microbial degradation of hydrocarbons and phenolic pollutants, treatment of oil industry wastewater, kinetic modelling of biodegradation processes, valorization of biomass for biofuel production; biodegradation pathways and purification and characterization of key enzymes.
