About me
I am Dr.Annie Canisius D,a Ph.D. physicist specializing in nanomaterials and semiconductor with Scopus-indexed publications. With expertise in material characterization, electrochemistry, and research methodology,I serve as Assistant Professor of Physics and have mentored numerous students through research projects. As a research mentor,I provide guidance in research design, academic writing, and journal publication while emphasizing scientific integrity and collaborative learning.
Interests: My research interests center on developing advanced bismuth-based semiconductor nanocomposites or other semiconductor nanocomposites as versatile materials with multifunctional applications across biomedical, environmental, and energy sectors. I aim to create a single material platform with optimized properties that can be utilized for electrochemical sensing in biomedical diagnostics, photocatalytic and electrochemical degradation of environmental pollutants in wastewater treatment, and advanced energy storage applications in batteries and supercapacitors. My research philosophy is centered on advancing semiconductor nanotechnology that delivers practical, scalable solutions across multiple sectors by bridging materials science, electrochemistry, and environmental remediation. I am particularly interested in developing multifunctional nanocomposites that simultaneously address healthcare diagnostics, environmental sustainability, and clean energy challenges through interdisciplinary collaborations and innovative material design.
