About me
Aditya Trivedi serves as a postdoc specializing in biochemistry, molecular biology, C. elegans genetics, and small-molecule drug discovery. He combines lab experiments and computer simulations to develop antiviral drugs, especially aimed at viral proteases found in SARS-CoV-2 and Hepatitis E. Currently, efforts focus on expressing and purifying Argonaute (AGO) complexes for high-resolution structural studies using functional assays, alongside human dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (hDPP4) variants.
Interests: Research experience spans protein expression and purification across bacterial, insect (BEVS), and mammalian cell lines, with expertise in co-crystallization, CD-spectroscopy, microscale thermophoresis, and C. elegans microinjection for enzyme characterization. Key projects include identifying dual inhibitors like Psoralidin and Corylifol-A against SARS-CoV-2 Mpro and PLpro, validated through in-silico screening, large-scale purification via AKTA Pure, and cell-based assays showing low cytotoxicity. Additional work covers Leishmania donovani proteases, Zika virus NS2B-NS3 docking, and Hepatitis E virus methyltransferase characterization, emphasizing small-molecule validation in live cultures and structural biology.
