Working in the field of host-pathogen interactions, focusing on how the fungal pathogen Candida glabrata adapts to the challenging host environment. My research aims to uncover mechanisms of metabolic reprogramming, particularly through GPI-linked membrane bound aspartyl proteases (yapsins), to understand how this pathogen survives and evades host defences.
