Scientific Writing
About me
With a Ph.D., post-doc at IIT Gandhinagar, and experience in medical writing and publishing, I bring real-world science into the classroom. I teach Life Sciences with depth, guide students in research and scientific writing, and offer hands-on training in AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude. My industry background in pharma and edtech helps students explore diverse career paths beyond traditional academia. I don't just teach — I prepare students for the future.
Interests: My research interests lie at the intersection of neurotoxicology, oxidative stress, and natural antioxidant therapies. My doctoral work investigated mercury chloride-induced neurotoxicity in Wistar rats, exploring how antioxidants like Aloe vera and N-acetylcysteine can mitigate brain damage — combining NMR metabolomics and electron microscopy to understand mechanisms at a molecular level. My post-doctoral research at IIT Gandhinagar expanded my horizon into sonodynamic therapy, where I explored the use of rhenium glycosylated complexes as sonosensitizers for inactivating bacterial infections — bridging chemistry, biophysics, and microbiology in a clinically relevant application. Beyond the laboratory, I am deeply interested in scientific communication and AI-driven research workflows — exploring how large language models and AI platforms can accelerate literature synthesis, data interpretation, and medical content development. Broadly, my research interests span: Neurotoxicology and neuroprotection Oxidative stress and antioxidant mechanisms Sonodynamic and photodynamic antimicrobial therapy Hepatoprotective natural compounds AI applications in biomedical research and scientific writing I am driven by translational questions — research that begins at the bench but ultimately improves human health and clinical understanding.
