Collaboration Overview
I am a PhD researcher in Zoology with specialization in Medical Mycology, with research experience in antifungal resistance, fungal genomics, molecular epidemiology, fungal pathogenesis, and clinical and environmental surveillance of emerging fungal pathogens. My research primarily focuses on Candida auris and non-albicans Candida species, with particular emphasis on understanding the molecular mechanisms of antifungal resistance, genetic diversity, population structure, virulence-associated traits, and environmental adaptation of clinically important fungal pathogens. My expertise includes fungal identification and characterization, antifungal susceptibility testing (AFST), molecular biology, whole-genome sequencing (WGS), transcriptomics/RNA-seq, differential gene expression analysis, RT-qPCR, phylogenetics, population genomics, MLST, mutation analysis, sterol profiling, biofilm-associated studies, and genotype–phenotype correlation. I am interested in collaborating with researchers, PhD scholars, faculty members, clinicians, microbiologists, bioinformaticians, and research groups working in Medical Mycology, Microbiology, Antimicrobial Resistance, Infectious Diseases, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, and Public Health. I can contribute to collaborative research projects through: Fungal isolation, identification, and characterization Antifungal susceptibility testing and resistance profiling Molecular investigation of antifungal resistance mechanisms Whole-genome and comparative genomic analysis Phylogenetic and population genomic analysis Transcriptomic/RNA-seq data interpretation Differential gene expression analysis Mutation and genotype–phenotype analysis RT-qPCR-based gene expression studies Analysis of fungal virulence, biofilm, and stress-associated traits Clinical and environmental fungal epidemiology Data interpretation, visualization, and scientific writing I am open to contributing to original research projects, collaborative manuscripts, systematic and narrative reviews, book chapters, and interdisciplinary research proposals. I am particularly interested in collaborations that integrate clinical, environmental, microbiological, molecular, genomic, and computational approaches to investigate emerging fungal pathogens and antifungal resistance. If you are working on a project related to fungal pathogens, antifungal resistance, Candida auris, fungal genomics, molecular epidemiology, or medical mycology and are looking for a research collaborator, I would be happy to discuss the project and explore opportunities for meaningful scientific collaboration.
